[Week10] Finishing polish phase

This week was the last week of the polish phase.

This week our team focused on finishing polishing the arts and fixing a lot of bugs.

Art

For the art, no big changes were made. There was some finetuning of some assets,effects,... .

The only big change was the making of the start screen.

Changes:

- We made the start screen

- Added sounds

- Polishing effects

- Added text when you lose 10 seconds.

- Finetuning assets to fit the style more. (for ex. outline)


Programming

Among noticeable changes in this week compared to previous ones, is a working sound system.  This enables more player feedback for the player. A big part of the sound-related task, except the implementation itself, is to find fitting sound effects and ambient sound for the game. Sounds effects needed also to be tweaked or shorten/lengthen the file to match our game actions. A lot of the sounds files seemed to be appropriate but once integrated doesn't match, therefore we needed several attempts to find one that matches.

A big part of this week revolves around fixing bugs in our buglist, among those were UI related and effects. We started with the major bugs  and then went to  the lesser critical ones. We also investigated how to make certain parts of the game more intuitive  and improve the ease of use.

The differents menus were fixed and connected to each other, this includes the main menu, pause menu and end menu.

We also spent some time playtesting the game to detect if any issues were still there.

Some small improvements:

- Damage text on player

- Damage text on player's HUD

- Pickup indicator pickup picked

- Effects integration such as OnHealthPickup effects

- Sprites updates integration

- Fixing some minor bugs
